Recreational Lacrosse (Flex 6)

The Y-Lacrosse Recreational Flex 6 program is for boys and girls ages 5 – 8 to learn the game of lacrosse and to develop stick skills necessary for the tradtional game. It is an affordable, inclusive, non-travel fun version of lacrosse that reinforces those skills in a mini-league format. Flex 6 Lacrosse is a 1 hour session 1 night per week.

Fall Season Schedule (Flex 6)

The season runs from Sept. 12th – Oct. 26th
Tuesdays (Riverdale) 6:00 – 7:00 PM
(Boys group and Girls group)
Thursdays (Sanford Crossing) 6:00 – 7:00 PM
(Coed Group)

Recreational Traditional Boys & Girls

The Traditional Game begins at the U10 level and older  and they will learn and play the traditional versions of Boys Lacrosse and Girls Lacrosse. We use traditional equipment, and your player will need a mouthpiece. Traditional meets twice/week for 1 hour.

Equipment for Rec Lacrosse

  • Traditional Boys Lacrosse uses a Lacrosse Helmet, Shoulder pads, Elbow pads, Gloves, Cleats (optional), and a Stick. You will have the option to check out this equipment. You will need a cup and mouthguard for your personal items. 
  • Traditional Girls Lacrosse uses Eye Goggles and a stick. You will have the option to check out this equipment. You will need a mouthguard for your personal item.
  • Flex 6 will have sticks available to use at your session.
  • All levels should bring water bottles for hydration breaks.

Each player will receive a reversible pinnie with their registration.
