Tri State Basketball Tournament

March 24th & 25th, 2023

Each year, hundreds of boys, grades 2-8, come together for an amazing twenty-four hour mega-tournament. Players come from all over the tri-state area and locations beyond.

Registration in CLOSED

The History:

In 1930, A.S. Andy Anderson started the first tri-state tournament with 16 teams from Des Moines, Aberdeen, Plankinton and Sioux Falls playing in the Friendly Indian, Pioneer and Comrades divisions. There were 112 boys and young men playing in the 1-day tournament in one gym. Today, the tournament has teams playing in gyms throughout Sioux Falls and the surrounding area. The games are played in less than 24 hours with the boys participating in a tradition that has grown to the biggest and best basketball tournament in the world based upon Athletic Sportsmanship and Christian Fellowship.
