Volunteer Opportunities
VOLUNTEERS ARE THE CORNERSTONES OF THE YMCA MOVEMENT.
When you volunteer at the Y, you take an active role in bringing about meaningful, enduring change right in your own neighborhood. Y volunteers help give men, women and children of all ages and from all walks of life the resources and support they need to be healthy, confident, connected and secure.
If you would like to join in our mission to bring values-based, affordable programming to the community, please contact us now. No matter how you help, you will make a big difference as you work with others to create a feeling of connectedness in our community.

YMCA CAMP LEIF ERICSON
Volunteers help improve campgrounds and facilities. In the past, volunteers have landscaped, built treehouses and often help tidy camp up before we open for the summer season. If you are handy or have a passion for carpentry and tools, we can certainly use your expertise out at camp.

YMCA SCHOOL-AGE CHILD CARE
Do you have a special skill or fun activity you want to teach elementary or middle school children? Do you want to help staff lead activities, games and arts and crafts? Do you want to help children with homework? Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age; have or be working toward a high school diploma or equivalent; interact well with children ages 5-15; have a strong sense of community; and exhibit our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

THE DOWNTOWN Y: Youth Programs
Mentor, motivate and support youth in building the character strengths, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health, smart life choices, and the pursuit of higher education and goals.
