About the Sioux Falls Family YMCA

Q: What are your hours?

Our facility is accessible via keyless entry from 5:00am to 10:30pm . While we remain open until 11:00pm, we ask that all members wrap up their activities and exit the facility by 11:00pm to help us maintain a safe and respectful environment for everyone. Staffed hours: A YMCA team member is available on-site from 11:00am to 1:00pm daily.

FAQs About The Sioux Falls YMCA

Does my membership with the Sioux Falls YMCA work with any YMCA?

Yes, we participate in the YMCA’s Nationwide Membership but you need to make sure that the YMCA you intend to visit also participates in the program. It’s always best to contact the Y you wish to visit and make sure it’s one of the 2,600 locations that participate. We offer Nationwide Membership because we want to help you reach your health and wellness goals wherever you live, work or travel. Please ask a front desk staff member for more information on Nationwide usage.

Does the Sioux Falls YMCA have a Pool/Hot tub?

We no longer have a pool or hot tub but there is a Steam Room and Dry Sauna in BOTH men’s and women’s locker rooms.

Does the Sioux Falls YMCA have Financial Assistance available?

Yes. Please pick up a form at the front desk.

Is the YMCA still part of the GreatLIFE network?

As of January 2024, the Sioux Falls Family YMCA is no longer part of the GreatLIFE network. We continue to offer our own affordable memberships and youth-focused programs that support healthy living, character development, and community connection.

Who can use the Fitness Center?

Youth ages 12–13 may use the fitness center when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Individuals 14 and older are welcome with a qualifying gym membership. Please note, youth members are not permitted in the fitness center unless they are part of a paid membership plan.

Great Price for membership amenities.Facility maintenance however lacks a bit. The men's dry sauna has a putrid smell and is not either on or working often. That sauna area was a reason I joined. I still recommend the place overall.

One of the best YMCAs I've ever been to. They have a full-blown boxing gym, which is unique. I hope they keep it forever. The basketball court is nice too. I love my Y in VA, but this one is almost perfect.

Me and my friend are on a road trip and needed a shower after 3 days on the road, luckily we ran into this YMCA. It was a great place and it was cheap to use it's facilities. If we're ever back in Sioux falls for sure we'll be back

The YMCA is doing it right. My kids are learning more than gymnastics, I love the values that the coaches teach them. This is a great place. Mature coaches that care about these kids. Highly Recommend!

Stuff is awesome, a lot of weights, but atmosphere is like a recreation center, visitors are mostly mature people. I prefer real hard gym. But a good place to visit, Sauna, pool, parking lot.

Very comfortable setting to work out and the friendly staff make it even more enjoyable! I've been attending YMCA gyms for years and no where else seems to compare. No contract so if something comes up you can always end monthly membership and simply start it again if you choose to come back. the Y offers the essential amenities and the Equipment is very much up to date. Never do I have to wait on something to open up. My only knock on the YMCA is the location and lack of parking.
