YMCA Camp Leif Ericson
Since 1920, our Sioux Falls Family YMCA camps have provided generations of campers with a safe, meaningful, and life-changing outdoor camping experience. Children return year after year to enjoy our beautiful camp property, nestled along the banks of the Big Sioux River. While camp is close to home in the heart of Sioux Falls, it feels like a world away. Although our programs and location are amazing, we know that it’s our counselors who ultimately make the camp experience so special.

Shop Camp Merch🐾 New Zoo Partnership
Camp Leif Ericson is excited to partner with the Great Plains Zoo to bring a unique wildlife experience to camp!
Campers (ages 6–9) will visit the zoo during each session, giving them the opportunity to explore, learn about animals, and connect with nature in a whole new way.
🌲 Camp Family Nights
All Camp Leif Ericson sessions include a Family Night on the second Tuesday of each session from 4:30–6:30pm.
Family Nights are open-house style and give parents the opportunity to explore camp, meet staff, and experience what their camper enjoys each day.
